The national Electric Code, Article 680-41 (A), requires a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI)

to be installed in the branch circuit supplying fountain equipment rated above 15 volts.

WArNING!

It is good practice whenever working in or near water to have all electrical devices plugged

into a ground fault circuit interrupter(GFCI) that has been installed by a licensed electri-

cian. Do not put stake through liner. Spot light

MUST be completely submerged in water

for proper cooling of light bulb.

COVER TO LIGHT MUST BE TIGHT AT ALL TIMES TO PREVENT

ANY LEAKING .

) Installing the Lights

1) For ideal viewing the lights should be placed in the pond facing away from the viewing area.
2) Depending on location the light can be “tucked” between two boulders or can be attached

to the adjustable stand. If using the adjustable stand be sure to weight the stand down

with rocks or gravel.

3) Connect the end of the light plug into the socket of the transformer. Repeat for the other

two lights.

4) Plug the transformer into an electrical outlet that has a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI).
The MicroSpot

20-Watt light is designed to be used COMPLETELY submerged in water. Be

careful to not place light fixture in the “ice-zone” of the pond, this may cause cracked lenses.

We suggest placing the light fixture 8 inches or more below the surface of the water. You can

place the fixture in the “ice-zone” as long as you remove it before winter or place it in a posi-

tion that it will not freeze in the pond. Replacement lenses are available if needed.

3) replacing the Light Bulb

1. Make sure the transformer is unplugged before changing the bulb. The light housing

must be above water to properly service the light bulb.

2. Unscrew the plastic cap from the front of the light housing unit.
3. Remove the glass lens and o-ring from light housing.
4. Use a thin flat-head screwdriver to pry the light up and out of the housing.
Note: Removing the halogen light by pulling the bulb is not recommended.
5. Insert the new bulb by inserting the two metal plugs into the connector.
Note: Do not touch the halogen light inside the assembly.
6. The o-ring and glass lens can now be installed back into place. Make sure there is no dirt

or debris on the glass, o-ring, and assembly prior to reassembling.

7. Attach the cap back onto the light housing. Make sure to tighten cap completely.
8. Test to make sure light works.
9. Position light back into pond.
