Underwater Light

Before installing the light make sure to coil 24 inches of cord behind the housing. This will

enable the light to be raised above the surface of the water in order to replace a burned-out

bulb. Also, double-check to make sure the lens cap is tightened down. The light is designed

to be incorporated into the boulder wall by “tucking” it in-between a set of boulders. The

boulders can be adjusted around the light in order to “lock” the light into position.
The 50 watt lights are designed to be used submerged or completely out of the water. Please

take care to not position the light fixture in the “ice-zone” of the pond, as you may experi-

ence cracked lenses. We suggest placing the light 8 inches or more below the surface of the

water. You can position the lights in the “ice-zone” but the fixture must be removed prior

to winter and laid on the ground outside the pond or weighted down with a rock in a lower

portion that will not freeze. Replacement lenses are available if needed.
Placement of Light Cord:
The light cord should be run along the liner to the outside perimeter of the pond. Place the light

cord behind any boulders on the vertical walls. Please see Diagram. Gravel can now be spread

across the horizontal shelves of the pond covering all of the liner as well as the light cord(s).

) Installing The Transformer

It’s best to connect the lights to the low voltage cable when the pond is near completion, typi-

cally following the final steps, such as, trimming and preparing the edges of the pond. The

transformer comes with a short 24 inch cord and will need to be mounted very close to the

electrical supply. This will allow the transformer and pump to be plugged into the same location.
• Strip approximately 1/2 inch – 3/4 inch insula-

tion from the 16 gauge flat LVL cable.

• Now attach the 16 gauge flat LVL cable, using

the screws included in the lid of the

transformer to the pressure plate on the bottom.

• Lay the flat LVL cable along the edge of the pond.

Please see diagram below for

proper positioning.
