Digital Still Camera Mode
Protection from accidental Erasure (Protect)
 The Protect function works only in M.Player Mode. page 28
 You can protect important images from accidental erasure.
If you execute format, all images including protected images will be
erased.
1. Set the [Mode] switch to [CARD].
2. Set the [Power] switch to [ (Player)].
 The thumbnail index of photo images
appears. If there are no recorded images on
the Memory Card, <No file!> is displayed.
3. Use the [Joystick] to select images to be
protected.
4. Press the [MENU] button.
 The menu list will appear.
5. Move the [Joystick] up or down to select
<Memory>, then press the [Joystick(OK)].
6. Move the [Joystick] up or down to select
<Protect>, then press the [Joystick(OK)].
7. Move the [Joystick] up or down to select <On>,
then press the [Joystick(OK)].
 To exit, press the [MENU] button.
 The protection icon ( ) is displayed.
Notes
 You can directly access the Protect function by
using the [QUICK MENU]. page 29
 Protected images will show the ( ) mark when
they are displayed.
 If the write protection tab on the Memory Card is
set to LOCK, you cannot set image protection.

 La fonction Protect ne peut être activée qu’en M.Player Mode. page 28
 La fonction vous permet de protéger vos images importantes contre
l’effacement accidentel. Si vous lancez le formatage, toutes les images,
incluant les images protégées, seront supprimées.
1. Placez l’interrupteur [Mode] sur [CARD].
2. Placez l’interrupteur [Power] sur [ (Player)].
 L’index des vignettes des images figées
s’affiche. S’il n’existe pas d’images
enregistrées sur la carte mémoire, le message
<No file!> s’affiche.
3. Déplacez le [Joystick] pour sélectionner les
images que vous souhaitez protéger.
4. Appuyez sur la touche [MENU].
 La liste des menus apparaît.
5. Déplacez le [Joystick] vers le haut ou vers le bas
pour sélectionner <Memory> puis appuyez sur
[Joystick(OK)].
6. Déplacez le [Joystick] vers le haut ou vers le bas
pour sélectionner <Protect> puis appuyez sur
[Joystick(OK)].
7. Déplacez le [Joystick] vers le haut ou vers le
bas pour sélectionner <On> puis appuyez sur
[Joystick(OK)].
 Pour quitter, appuyez sur la touche [MENU].
 L’icône de protection ( ) s’affiche.
Remarques

Accédez directement à la fonction Protect à l’aide
de la touche [QUICK MENU]. page 29
 Les images protégées sont indiquées par le
symbole ( ) à l’affichage.
 Si la languette de sûreté de la carte mémoire est
réglée à LOCK, il vous est impossible d’activer la
protection.
