Setting the Clock
Here are some things you should know before you set the dock:
• When you first plug in vour \'CR, the clock will
read “------- :------
• The buttons for setting the clock are on the remote
hand unit.
• While you are setting the clock, the di.splay on the
TV screen will prompt you through the procedure.
• If you press a wrong digit, press PROGRAM and
then start at beginning.
• The clock must be set to the correct time before
you can program the timer for unattended
recordings or use Express Recording (XPR).
• If power is interrupted, you may have to reset the
clock and re-enter your programs in the timer.
I Turn on your VCR and TV. Tune your TV to
n I the VCR Channel ( channel 3 or 4). The VCR
Channel is explained on page 13.
Press PROGRAM on the remote control.
This “menu" will appear on the TV.

Set the lime by pressing two digit buttons on
the remote for the current hour and two
more for the minute.
(For example, press 0 2 15 for 2:15.)
Note: The CLEAR button does not operate in
clock set. If you make a mistake, press
PROGRAM and start again.

Press PROGRAM to start the clock. (Note
that the display on the VCR wall show the
correct time after you press PROGRAM.
Press PROGRAM again to return to the
program you were w'atching.
