TROUBLESHOOTING

Before following the troubleshooting guide below please make sure that your Selector Switch and
attached equipment (HD source and display) are all properly connected switched on and not in
Standby Mode.

No image

• Check that all the connections are correct and secure
• Check the HDMI lead is undamaged and is plugged into the

correct socket

• Check that the correct HDMI output has been selected from

the HD device’s menu and that the HDMI lead is plugged
into the correct output socket

• Check that the correct HDMI input has been selected from

the TV menu and that the HDMI lead is plugged into the
input selected

Image without sound

• Check that all the connections are correct and secure
• Check that the cable supports video transmission
• Check that the cable is undamaged
• Reset the NSW500

NSW500 does not respond to
remote or manual control

• Disconnect the power supply for a few seconds. This will

reset the NSW500.

Power LED OFF

• Check that the power adaptor is connected to an AC power

outlet and that the smaller end is connected to the DC 5V
input on the back of the NSW500.

Resolution doesn’t appear in 1080p • Make sure that your connected devices support 1080p.

• Make sure that your displays are set to support 1080p.

Image doesn’t appear in 1080i
( "i" for interlaced scan)

• LCD or other flat panel TVs do not support “interlaced” video

signal as CRT TV does. When up-scaling the video signal
to 1080i, some televisions may not support the interlaced
video format that is produced by the NSW500. If 1080i is
not compatible with your TV, please change the resolution
to 720p, 1080p, etc. to match the resolution that the

TV supports.
