A. Remove the door from the appliance using the tool provided, refer to "DOOR REMOVAL AND
INSTALLATION" section. There are two latches across the top of the door. Pull the latches forward and up off
of the fl anges of the door. Ensure to keep one hand on the door at all times, to prevent it from falling on the
fl oor. When all latches have been released tilt the door forward and out of the bottom door retainer.

B. Remove the logs from the appliance.

C. Remove the burner from the appliance, refer to "BURNER REMOVAL" section.

D. Remove the main burner orifi ce and replace with the orifi ce supplied in the manual baggie. (Use pipe thread
compound)

E. Adjust the air shutter according to the "ADJUSTMENTS" section.

F. To convert the main valve to the desired fuel, remove the conversion plug using a screwdriver. Remove
plastic tip on the plug stem and rotate 180 degrees, refer to Figure 2. Re-secure to the conversion plug (it
should click into place).

G. Loosen the pilot hood by turning counter clockwise with a wrench until the conversion tab slides easily.
Slide the tab to the fuel desired. Tighten the pilot hood back to original position. NOTE: The tab is marked
with NAT. or LP, refer to Figure 1.

H. Reinstall the burner and then install the logs, refer to "LOG PLACEMENT" section.

I. The conversion data label found in the manual baggie, must
be fi lled out and attached adjacent to the valve.

J. Turn on the gas supply and check for gas leaks by
brushing on a soap and water solution. Do not use open
fl ame.

K. Light the pilot and main burner to ensure that the gas
lines have been purged. Refer to the "OPERATING AND
LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS" section. Once all systems have
been checked, replace the log media.

L. Re-secure the door.

It’s important to periodically perform a visual check of the pilot and
burner fl ames. Compare them to the illustration provided. If any
fl ames appear abnormal call a service person.
