bottom. Record the serial number in the space
pro\’ided below. Refer to these numbers whenever
\ oil call upon your Sony dealer regarding this

1 Connect the AC plug to a wall outlet.

Set the POWER switch to ON.
The POWER lamp lights green.

Play back a tape on the video equipment.
Refer to the instruction manual of the video
equipment.

Adjust the projecting angle.

Set the PROJECTION LOCK switch up.

Adjust the picture.
Adjust the focus by turning the FOCUS ring,
[a]
Adjust the brightness with the PICTURE control.

Press WIDE to select the picture mode between the
normal mode and the wide mode*.

The WIDE lamp lights red w hen the w ide mode is
selected.
6 Adjust the volume by pressing VOLUME +/-.
The display indicates for about 5 seconds on the
screen after the button is pressed.
"" In the wide mode, the hight of the picture is
shortened and the picture is compressed in the
vertical direction. The ratio of hight to width of the
picture becomes 9:16.
To enjoy a clearer picture
• Place the unit so as to make the lens perpendicular to
a projected plane, otherwise the picture becomes
distorted and may be out of focus.
• Use the unit in a dark place so that the picture is
projected dearly.
• Do not subject the projected plane to direct light such
as a room light.
• The brightness of picture differs in accordance w ith
the qualitv of surface of a wall or screen and size of
the projected plane. Adjust the brightness
accordingly w ith the PICTURE control.
• In adjusting the height, an optional Sony tripod is
recommended.
Caution
Be sure to use the house current as a power source of
your projector to pre\’ent damage and accidents.
Never use a DC/AC conx erter.
Notes
• If the picture does not appear for more than five
minutes, the power is turned off. 'lo turn on the power
again, set the ITWER switch to OFF and then ON.
• be sure to LÜsconnect the AC plug from a wall outlet
when not using this unit.
• While projecting, the corners of a picture mav be dark.
• lliore is a fan in the unit fcir protection from dust and
heat. When using the unit, the sound of the fan motor
can be heard. This is not m.ilfunction.
