Connect the Reader to your computer using the
supplied USB cable.

“Sony’s Reader” appears in the Source view of eBook
Library.
A screen appears on the Reader, indicating that it is
connected to the computer.
Notes
• If “Sony’s Reader” does not appear in the source view after
connecting the Reader to your computer, disconnect the USB
cable from the Reader, then reconnect it after a while.
• When you connect the Reader to your computer,
(indicating connection via USB) is displayed on the Reader’s
screen. If the battery has been fully depleted, it takes about 40
minutes until is displayed, and you will not be able to turn
on the Reader by the POWER switch during this time. In this
case, wait until is displayed. The indicator lights up in red
while is not displayed, and the Reader is charged.
