switchboard before working inside the

equipment or removing any component

or any other component until the power is

turned OFF.

General

These instructions apply to type FB circuit breaker frames.

Installation

1. Select the breaker cover. The part numbers of the

appropriate covers for various switchboards and

panelboards are listed in Table 1.

2. Attach the gas barrier and center barrier to the

breaker cover with the two push-in rivets provided, as

illustrated in Figure 1

.

3. Attach a space filler (part number 10085624P1) to

the cover if there is no breaker installed behind one

of the holes. Secure the filler with the two #10 x

screws provided, tightened to 27–32 in-lb, as shown in

Figure 2. If a single 1 pole breaker is across from 2

pole or two 1 pole or 2 pole across from 3 pole

breaker, install single pole space filler (part number

10095241P1) into cover where no breaker is installed,

as shown in Figure ??.

4. Install the assembled breaker cover on the cover

collector frame using 2 thread-forming screws, as

shown in Figure 4. Tighten the thread-forming

screws to 15–20 in-lb. If mounting into existing

panelboard/switchboard using flexible supports,

install by placing square holes over flexible support

clips and press until seated, as shown in Figure 3.
