Playing a DVD

Adjust the headphone

Press I/O when the
indicator above the l/(i)
button on the front panel is
lit in red.

* DTS indicator lights up when

you play DTS sound tracks on
a DVD. In this case, no sounds
will come out from the LINE
OUT (AUDIO 1,2) and
PHONES cormectors. To enjoy
the DTS sounds, you have to
coimect an audio component
with a built-in DTS decoder

(see page 32).

Make settings on your TV.

Turn on the TV and select the video input so that you can view
the pictures from this player.

When using an amplifier

Turn on the amplifier and select the appropriate position so that
you can listen to the sound from this player.

Press l/(!) to turn on the player.

The indicator (red) above the l/(!) button changes to green and
the front panel display lights up.

Press =, and place the disc on the disc tray.

With the playback

side facing down

Press t>.

The disc tray and front panel close, and the player starts
playback (Continuous Play). Adjust the volume on the TV or
the amplifier.

To open or close the front panel

Press UP/DOWN on the player.

Depending on the DVD, some operations may be different or restricted,
your disc.
