OpERATING YOUR BREVILLE VARIABLE TEMpERATURE KETTLE™
Before First Use
Remove and safely discard any packaging
material or promotional labels attached to
your kettle. It is recommended that before
first use to fill the kettle to the maximum
level with cold tap water, bring to the boil
by selecting the BOIL 212° button, then
discard the water. Your kettle will only
operate when positioned on the power
base. The kettle will automatically switch
off when the water has reached the
selected temperature.
Operation Of Your Kettle
To fill the kettle, remove the kettle from 1.
the power base and open the lid by
pressing the lid release button. Fill with
the desired amount of water. Always fill
the kettle between the minimum (500)
and maximum (MAX 1800) marks on
the water window. Too little water will
result in the kettle switching off before
the water has boiled or reached the
selected temperature.

If the START/CANCEL button is pressed
(before selecting a temperature button),
the START /CANCEL button surround
will illuminate in red and the 212º button
surround will illuminate in white and the
kettle will start heating.
Select the desired water temperature 3.

temperature buttons (175˚, 185˚, 195˚,
200˚, 212˚). The selected button and the
START/ CANCEL button surround will
illuminate in white.
NOTE:
The HOLD TEMp function can be selected
before, during or on completion of the
water heating cycle (refer page 9).
