Self-diagnosis function (when
letters/numbers appear on the
screen)

When the self-diagnosis function is activated
to prevent the player from malfunctioning, a
five-character service number (e.g., C 13 50)
with a combination of a letter and four digits
appears on the screen. In this case, check the
following table.

The player can play the following files:

In some cases certain file formats are not
supported on this player.

The player can play video files of size up to 720
(width) × 576 (height)/2 GB.

Only support movie data of cyber shot.

Files with copyright protection (Digital Right
Management) cannot be played.

Photo files that conform to the DCF (Design
rule for Camera File system) image file format.

The player will play any file in the above
table, even if the file format differs. Playing
such data may generate noise that can result
in speaker damage.

• If you add numbers (01, 02, 03, etc.) to the front

of the file names, the files will be played in that
order.

• To play a complex hierarchy of folders may take

some time. Create albums with no more than two
hierarchies.

• Set “MEDIA” to “PHOTO (MUSIC)” to repeat

both music and photo files (page 19).
