Before first use
Before using your toaster for the first time, unpack and remove labels
from the body of the toaster. Wipe the outside of your toaster with a
damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
Most heating appliances produce an unpleasant smell and / or smoke
when used for the first time.
This is normal. Set the toast browning control to 5. Press down on the
toast lever until it engages.Toast lever will not engage unless unit is
plugged in. Allow the toast cycle to finish.The unpleasant smell should
disappear after this initial preheating.
