Adding a routing link

To add a routing link to a VLAN that is not already configured:

Select

VLAN/Routing Setup>Add

Setup an IP routing interface

box.

, and follow the instructions in the Wizard windows.

Changing IP and IPX
details

To change the routing protocol details for an existing VLAN:

VLAN/Routing Setup

Use IP routing

or

Use IPX routing

box to

make active (if possible).

Double-click the required field, type the new value and select
the correct protocol parameters.

OK

Adding a static route

A static route is a permanent entry in the routing table and is a path to
IP network which is not announced by the RIP. A static route is an-
nounced to other switches or stacks using RIP. To add a static route:

Double-click the required field, and type the new value.
