For all accessories, slip on to
end of wand or directly on
to hose handgrip and twist
slightly to secure. Adjust
suction control (BB) to
desired suction strength
before cleaning.
Attach the combination tool to handgrip to clean deeply into
all types of upholstered furniture and fabrics. Adjust wings (CC)
on nozzle to match furniture contours to improve deep down
cleaning. With the suction control fully open, the combination
tool is ideal for cleaning automobile upholstery, blankets,
pillows, mattresses, and clothing. For curtains and draperies,
reduce the suction strength and attach the combination tool
to the wand for better reach.
Reverse the combination
tool on wand to clean base-
boards without bending or
stretching. With the round
brush on the end of the
handgrip, remove dust from
delicate articles or carved
furniture contours. The soft
inner cushion ring and
deep-reaching bristles will
not mar furniture surfaces.
Use the crevice tool on the end of the handgrip to get into
crevices of upholstered furniture and other hard-to-reach areas
(DD). Using the crevice tool on the end of the wand, clean hot
air registers without kneel-
ing or stooping. Remember
to fully open the suction
control (U) when using the
crevice tool. Reduced
suction will allow the
crevice tool to clean with-
out clinging to surfaces,
sucking delicate fabrics in,
or overheating the unit.
The swivel floor tool is a
lightweight accessory that
provides an alternative to
cleaning with the power
nozzle. Attach it to the end
of the accessory wand to
extend your reach. The floor
tool is great for minor pick-
ups on all hard surfaces,
including the garage floor
(EE). Adjust the suction con-
trol to match your pick-up needs.

USING THE SIDEKICK ® (OPTIONAL)
To further your cleaning capabilities, Aerus gives you the
newest advancement in the cleaning world. The Sidekick
®
accessory is a revolutionary new tool powered by its own
motor that combines superior cleaning action with easy
maneuverability. The Sidekick
® has a trim design that
allows cleaning hard-to-reach areas like stairs,
car interiors, bathrooms, upholstery and
mattresses, easier than ever before.
POWER ON/OFF
The Sidekick ® has two positions:
• “I” turns the Sidekick ® ON.
• “O” turns the Sidekick ® OFF.
CAUTION:
Always turn cleaner OFF before
connecting or disconnecting Sidekick ® .
SIDEKICK ® ASSEMBLY
To attach the Sidekick ® :
• Turn cleaner OFF and unplug
cord from outlet.
• Disconnect wand or power
nozzle attachment from hose.
• Turn the Sidekick ® switch to
the OFF position.
• Align the Sidekick ® and hose
connections and slip the
Sidekick
® onto handgrip (FF) until it snaps into place.
• Plug power cord into outlet, turn machine ON, turn the
Sidekick ® ON and resume cleaning.
To remove the Sidekick ® :
• Turn both the Sidekick ® and the cleaner OFF, then unplug
power cord.
• Press release and detach the Sidekick ® from handgrip.
CAUGHT OBJECTS
If an object becomes caught in the Sidekick ® , immediately
turn the Sidekick ® OFF.
To restart, follow these instructions:
• Turn cleaner OFF and unplug power cord from wall outlet.
• Remove caught object from the Sidekick
® .
- If the object is caught in the revolving brush turn the
Sidekick ® over and gently remove the caught object from
the brush.
- If object is caught further in the unit, detach the handgrip
and remove the object through the rear of the unit.
- If obstruction cannot be cleared, take to an authorized
Aerus™ location.
• After obstructions are cleared, plug power cord into outlet,
turn cleaner ON, turn the Sidekick ® ON and resume cleaning.
CAUTION:
To prevent the Sidekick ® motor from over-
heating, do not use if vacuum cleaner motor shuts OFF.
WARNING:
Keep hands away from the Sidekick ®
brush while in use and when turning cleaner
and the Sidekick ® ON or OFF.
