Setup & Commissioning
Test mode
• Ensure that the sensor is in test mode.
- set time delay to minimum setting of
10 seconds
- set light level to maximum
(“day” setting, light level function
overridden)
• Turn power ON at the circuit breaker
(lights will turn ON). After a warm up
period of up to one minute, lights will
turn OFF if the sensor does not detect
motion.
• Walk in view of sensor, lights should
turn ON. Be still for 10 seconds and
lights should turn OFF.
Light level
The light level feature allows lighting to
remain OFF during daylight, regardless of
occupancy. Daytime operation is at 200
footcandles (factory setting). Nighttime
operation is at .2 footcandles.
Time delay
Time delay is the period of time lights
remain on after the last detection.
Adjustment ranges from 10 sec (factory
setting) to 15 min.
After setup and commissioning tests are
complete, adjust the time delay and light
level settings to fi t the application needs.

Wiring
Operation
When installing, make sure power has
been switched off at the breaker and
check that the circuit is dead with a
voltage tester.
The leads consist of two wires:
L = hot wire (black)
N = neutral wire (white)
If in doubt, identify the individual
conductors with a voltage tester or
contact a qualifi ed electrician.
The FL 300 operates by turning lights
on automatically when occupancy is
detected and off when the space is left
vacant.
Light level function
The light level feature keeps lighting
off during daylight hours, regardless of
occupancy.
Manual override
Adding a wall switch provides a manual
override function. While the switch is ON,
the sensor is in occupancy control mode.
Users can turn the switch OFF at any time
to keep lights OFF.
The switch can be used to override lights
ON for 4 hours. To do this, the switch
must be in the ON position and the sensor
has gone through warm up. Toggle switch
OFF ON OFF ON within 2 seconds. Lights
will now remain on for 4 hours. To verify
that the sensor is in manual override, you
should see a red indicator light behind the
lens in the upper right hand corner.
To resume sensor mode prior to the 4
hours, simply fl ip the switch OFF ON
once within two seconds. Lights will
turn off and the sensor returns to sensor
mode.
Surge protection
Every sensor contains built in surge
protection. This feature will reset the
unit automatically after: power surges,
power outages, and power shortages.
Surge protection protects the sensor if it
is miswired as well. If miswired, shut off
power, correct the wiring, and the sensor
will then operate correctly.
Time delay: 10 seconds to 15 minutes
Light level: .2 (night) to 200 (day) footcandles
