1 CLOCK button
Press to change to the clock display.
2 PAUSE button
Press to turn pause on or off.
3 DISPLAY button
Press to select different displays.
4 FUNCTION button
Press to select functions.
5 AUDIO button
Press to select various sound quality con-
trols.
6 ENTERTAINMENT button
Press to change to the entertainment dis-
play.
7 OPEN button
Press to open the front panel.
8 a/b/c/d buttons
Press to do manual seek tuning, fast for-
ward, reverse and track search controls.
Also used for controlling functions.
9 SW button
Press to directly select subwoofer setting
menu. See Using subwoofer output on page
38. Press and hold to select EQ-EX setting
menu. See Compensating for equalizer
curves (EQ-EX) on page 35.
a BAND button
Press to select among three FMbands and
one AMband and to cancel the control
mode of functions.
b 16 buttons
Press for preset tuning and disc number
search when using a multi-CD player.
c SOURCE button
This unit is turned on by selecting a source.
Press to cycle through all the available
sources.
d EQ button
Press to select various equalizer curves.
e VOLUME
When you press VOLUME, it extends out-
ward so that it becomes easier to turn. To re-
tract VOLUME, press it again. Rotate it to
increase or decrease the volume.
