1

Pick up the handset (or press
(DIAL/ON HOOK)).

“=== TALK ===” appears on
the display, and then the
operation duration in hours,
minutes and seconds is
displayed.

You will then hear a dial tone.

2

Dial the phone number.

The phone number dialed
appears on the display.

If you pressed (DIAL/ON HOOK)
in step 1, pick up the handset
after dialing.

3

When you’re done talking,
replace the handset in the
cradle.

Note
When (DIAL/ON HOOK) is pressed in step 1, you can dial the phone number as
described in step 2. However, you cannot talk to the other party without
picking up the handset. Also, there are times when you may not be able to hear
a dial tone even when (DIAL/ON HOOK) is pressed.

To lock the handset keys during conversation

Accidental pressing of the keys (dialing keys, one-touch dial buttons,
(DIAL/ON HOOK), (REDIAL/PAUSE), (MUTING) and (PGM)) can be
avoided by setting the KEY LOCK switch in the direction of the arrow.
When the switch is set to the direction of the arrow, the base of the
switch will appear orange.

If the keys are pressed while the key lock is on, “KEY LOCK” flashes
on the display for five seconds.

To cancel the key lock, set the KEY LOCK switch in the direction of the
left side. “KEY UNLOCK” flashes on the display for five seconds.

Tip
The “call waiting” service is also available while the keys are locked.
