To Steam Iron
1. Fill water tank following instructions
in “Filling the Water Tank.”
2. Plug iron into electrical outlet. The
Auto Shutoff Reset Button/Light will
come on. If the plug will not fit, read
about the polarized plug in
“Consumer Safety Information.”
3. Turn the Temperature/Steam Dial to
a setting in the
Steam Iron range.
As an example, the
illustration shows
the iron set at 7
(Rayon).
4. Preheat for about 4 minutes
before beginning to iron.
5. The iron will automatically shut off
1 hour after the iron is plugged in
and the Auto Shutoff Reset Button/
Light will go out. To turn the iron
back on, press the Auto Shutoff
Reset Button/Light located on the
top of the handle.
6. When finished ironing, turn the
Temperature/
Steam Dial to
OFF (0) and
unplug iron. Allow
to cool and empty
water from water
tank. See “Storing
Your Iron.”
Filling the Water Tank
1. Make sure iron is unplugged.
2. Regular tap water may be used.
In areas with extremely hard water,
the use of distilled or filtered water is
highly recommended.
3. Slide open Water Fill Cover.
4. Slowly pour water into water fill
opening until water level reaches
the top of the Water Window.
Never overfill.
NOTE: Never place anything in your
iron except water.
