Tape-on Installation:

Clean the vehicle tailgate using the
enclosed alcohol pads (B). It will be necessary to clean
the inside of the tailgate protector (A) on Dynamx
products also.

Peel the backing off of the tape on the tailgate protector (A) as shown. Place the
tailgate protector (A) onto the vehicle tailgate and press it firmly into place. See
Step 1c for Dynamx products.

Cut the roll of tape (D) into 2” pieces. Place them onto the tailgate protector (A)
as shown and press them firmly into place. Peel the backing off of the tape on
the tailgate protector (A). Place the tailgate

Once the tailgate protector (A) has been installed on the vehicle tailgate, remove the plastic film covering the
tailgate protector (A).

Screw-on Installation: Place the tailgate protector (A) onto the vehicle tailgate and press it firmly into place. Drill
four evenly spaced holes using a drill with a 9/64” drillbit. Attach the tailgate protector (A) into place using four
phillips head screws (C). Tighten each phillips head screw (C) into place using a phillips head screwdriver. Note:
After drilling, Dee Zee recommends putting a sealant or rust inhibitor around all holes drilled into the body panel
of the vehicle.

Clean all Dee Zee aluminum accessories with a mild detergent. Dee Zee stainless steel
accessories should have an application of high quality automotive wax applied to them to maintain a longer shine.
