Slick Seam

®

Caulking Compound

Works Under Water!

Slick Seam is a remarkable caulking compound made of fine

waxes, pure mineral products and silicate fibers. This combina-

tion makes Slick Seam not only effective, but easy to use for any

underwater seam application. It requires neither mixing nor prim-

ing. Once in place, Slick Seam stays put no matter how much

wood flexes or swells. It adheres to most solid surfaces whether

wet, dry, or even oil stained. Applies easily—cleans up fast.

Cures ready for painting in half an hour. Paint adheres to it;

never hardens or cracks. Allows for flex and expansion of

planks.

Not for use on topsides.

DIRECTIONS: For best results, apply at room temperature. If

less than 30°F (–1°C), warm Slick Seam slightly. Stroke into

seam with putty knife or gloved finger. Scrape off excess. If

planks are dry and contracted, leave seams concave to allow for

expansion. Allow to gel 1/2 hour before painting.

Do not use above waterline or on small boats turned up in the

sun, as Slick Seam may melt.

NEW PLANKS: Apply after oakum or caulking fiber is tamped

into seams.

PREVIOUSLY CAULKED SEAMS: Rake or brush seams clean

of all loose, cracked, or weakened paint or other componds.

Primer not required.

OIL STAINED WOOD: Must be dry and cleaned of oil and

grease. Repair all oil leaks—will not remain bonded if wood is

soaked with oil.

WET WOOD: Use extra care and pressure in application.

PLYWOOD BOATS: Will not adhere to some bonding agents.

Check boat warranty.

OTHER: Adheres to same compounds as does paint. Do not

apply to silicone fillers.

CAUTION: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Avoid con-

tact with eyes. If swallowed, contact a physician immediately.
