Voice Mail System

Provided your phone company offers voice messaging service and you sub-

scribe to it, the NEW MSG indicator on the base and the Visual Indicator on

the top of the handset flashes to indicate a message is waiting. The screen

displays “VOICE MAIL L1” or “VOICE MAIL L2” to indicate which line has

voice mail waiting. If both lines have new voice mail messages, the display

displays “VOICE MAIL L1-L2”. It stops flashing after the message is reviewed.

NOTE: To deactivate the New Message indicator; press and hold the Delete

button for 2 seconds, the screen will display Message Waiting Reset.

IMPORTANT: You must have the voice mail access code pro-

grammed for this feature to work. See the “Programming the

Voice mail numbers” section. If there is no voice mail number

stored, the system will emit an error tone and the screen dis-

plays “Empty” for 2 seconds and then returns to idle mode.

To listen to your voice mail messages from the base unit in idle mode.
1. Press VOICE MAIL 1 for line 1 voicemail or VOICE MAIL 2 for line 2

voicemail.

2. The base unit activates the speaker with the corresponding line and

auto dials the pre-programmed voice mail access number/code to ac-

cess the voice mail stored at the phone company.

NOTE: If the direct line is busy, an error tone emits and the screen displays

“Line x in use” for 2 seconds, then returns to idle mode.

3. Once the phone company voice mail system answers the call, additional

digits such as a pin code may be dialed.

NOTE: For security purposes, any digits dialed at this point, such as a pin

code, will not be stored in the redial.

4. The screen displays “VOICE MAIL 1 (or 2)” and the call timer.
