the VSA4S handset for mounting and wiring instructions.
1. Strip approx 2" of outer protective jacket from the category 5 or category 6 cable.
2. Separate and strip approx. 1/2" of insulation from each of the eight wires in the cable. Twist the following cables
together:
• OR and OR/WH
• GR and GR/WH
• BL and BL/WH
• BR and BR/WH
3. Attach each of the twisted pair of wires to the corresponding Handset screw terminals on the back of the monitor.
Tighten each screw securely.
Connecting Power and Mounting the Monitor
WARNING: 120 Volt AC power to the VRM4R rough-in and VSM4RK monitor must remain off
until all system wiring and product mounting at the monitor and camera is complete
1. Plug the male power connector from the back of the monitor into the mating female power connector in the junction
box of the VRM4R rough-in.
2. Remove the screw covers from
each side of the monitor by
slightly pressing and pushing the
covers upwards. These covers
are indexed so they only fit the
left or right side of the monitor.
Set the covers aside, keeping in
mind which cover goes on which
side of the monitor.
3. Dress the power cable, camera
cable and optional handset cable
(if installed) into the VRM4R
rough-in. Position the monitor
into the rough-in, being sure not
to pinch any of the wiring.
