CAUTION: The use of other fluids may
cause extensive damage to the pump. Such
damage is not covered by the Enerpac
warranty.

NOTE: Some fluids such as strong acids
and sea water may corrode the check balls.
In such cases, it is recommended that the
check balls be replaced as often as required

rather than substituting check balls of some other
material.

5.0 INSTALLATION
(SEE PRELIMINARY PROCEDURE §4.0)
Read all instructions carefully before attempting to
assemble or operate your hydraulic equipment. Most
malfunctions in new equipment are the result of
improper operation and/or assembly.

WARNING: Failure to follow these and
other instructions may result in equipment
damage and/or personal injury.

5.1 Gauge Installation (See illustration 2)

1. Turn pump release valve counterclockwise to

open position (approximately one turn).

2. Remove gauge port gland nut and plug.
3. Remove sleeve from modelnr. 43-704 gauge

adaptor (not furnished with pump) and insert end
of gauge adaptor through hole in gland nut.

4. Replace sleeve on end of gauge adaptor.
5. Position either end of gauge connector in pump

gauge port and secure with gland nut (finger-
tight).

6. Place gauge on other end of gauge connector

and secure with gland nut (finger-tight).

7. Torque both gland nuts to 25 Ft.lbs [34 Nm].

Do not overtighten.

CAUTION: Whenever sudden pressure
drops are anticipated, a shut-off valve
(Modelnr. 72-750) should be used to protect

the gauge against recoil damage. For maximum
protection, the shut-off valve should be nearly closed
during operation of the pump. See §5.5 Gauge
Protection Setup.

5.2 Hose Connection (Modelnr. 11-100 only))
NOTE:
Since these pumps are normally operated
with tubing rather than hose, you will need to use
Adaptor Fitting Modelnr. C898.166 to connect a hose
to your pump.

1. Turn pump release valve counterclockwise to

"open" position (approximately one turn).

2. Remove outlet port gland nut and plug from

pump.

3. Insert pipe thread adaptor fitting into discharge

port of pump and tighten using light force applied
to a short wrench. Do not overtighten.

4. Attach hose to pipe thread adaptor.

5.3 Tube Connection (Modelnr. 11-100 and 11-400)
1. Turn pump release valve counterclockwise to

"open" position (approximately one turn).

2. Remove outlet port gland nut and plug from

pump.

3. Insert end of tubing through hole in gland nut and

secure with sleeve.

4. Position end of tubing in discharge port of pump

body and secure with gland nut.

5. Tighten with wrench. Torque to 50 Ft.lbs [67 Nm].

5.4 Auxiliary Reservoir (furnished by user)
1. Remove reservoir drain plug located on lower

portion of reservoir.

2. Connect auxiliary reservoir to reservoir drain port

(1/4" NPT).

CAUTION: Keep auxiliary reservoir fluid
level below top of pump reservoir.
