Installing the Battery
(See Fig. A)
1 Open the battery compartment lid and install one R03 (size
AAA) battery (not supplied) with correct polarity.
2 Close the lid.
When to replace the battery
Replace the battery when the sound becomes weak or distorted. Remove
the old battery and insert a new one.

Notes on battery
• Do not charge the dry battery.
• Do not carry the dry battery together with coins or other metallic
objects. It can generate heat if the positive and negative terminals of the
battery are accidentally come into contact with metallic objects.
• When you are not going to use the unit for a long time, remove the
battery to avoid damage from battery leakage and corrosion.
To attach the battery compartment lid if it is
accidentally detached (See Fig.
B )
1 Engage the catch of the lower half of the unit in the hole of
the lid.
2 Press the lid into the unit and downwards to lock it.
Wearing the Radio (See Fig. C )
1 Wear the neckband around the back of your head.
2 Wear the headphones with your left ear between the Driver
unit (marked L on the outside) and the neckband, and your
right ear between the Driver unit (marked R on the outside)
and the neckband.
3 Adjust the angle of the neckband to fit the headphones on
your ears.
Improving the Reception
FM: Set BAND to LOCAL if interference is prevalent and reception is too
strong. Under normal conditions, set it to DX .
AM:Move around to obtain better reception.
Operating the Radio
1 Set POWER to ON .
2 Set BAND to select FM or AM .
The neckband serves as an FM antenna.
3 Turn TUNE to tune in to a station.
4 Adjust VOL (volume).
To turn off the radio, set POWER to OFF .
To obtain powerful bass sound
Set POWER to MEGA BASS .
The “MEGA BASS” system produces a powerful bass sound.
When the sound becomes distorted, switch
POWER to ON .

Remarques sur la pile
•
Ne rechargez pas la pile sèche.
• Ne mettez pas la pile sèche en contact avec des pièces de monnaie ou
d’autres objets métalliques. Si le pôle positif et le pôle négatif de la pile
sont mis en contact l’un avec l’autre via un objet métallique, de la
chaleur peut être générée.
• Si vous prévoyez de ne pas utiliser l’appareil pendant une longue période,
retirez-en la pile afin d’éviter des dégâts dus à une fuite d’électrolyte et à
la corrosion.
Pour remettre le couvercle du logement des
piles en place s’il s’est détaché
accidentellement (voir l’illustration
B )
1 Insérez le loquet de la partie inférieure de l’appareil dans
l’orifice du couvercle.
2 Appuyez sur le couvercle vers l’intérieur de l’appareil et vers
le bas pour l’enclencher.
Comment porter la radio (voir l’illustration C )
1 Portez le bandeau sur la nuque.
2 Portez le casque en plaçant l’oreille gauche entre l’oreillette
gauche (marquée d’un L sur l’extérieur) et le bandeau et
l’oreille droite entre l’oreillette droite (marquée d’un R sur
l’extérieur) et le bandeau.
3 Réglez l’angle du bandeau pour adapter le casque à vos
oreilles.
Amélioration de la réception
FM : Réglez BAND sur LOCAL s’il y a des interférences et si la réception
est trop forte. Dans des conditions normales, réglez-le sur DX .
AM : Déplacez-vous pour trouver la meilleure réception.
Fonctionnement de la radio
1 Réglez POWER sur ON .
2 Réglez BAND pour sélectionner FM ou AM .
Le bandeau sert d’antenne FM.
3 Tournez TUNE pour accorder une station.
4 Ajustez VOL (volume).
Pour éteindre la radio, réglez POWER sur OFF .
Pour obtenir des graves puissants
Réglez POWER sur MEGA BASS .
Le système “MEGA BASS” renforce les graves.
Si le son présente de la distorsion, réglez
POWER sur ON .
