GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded. If the machine should malfunction or breakdown,
grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current and reduces the risk of
electric shock. This appliance is equipped with a cord having an equipment grounding
conductor and grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet
that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and
ordinances.
EXTENSIONS CORDS
Use only three-wire outdoor extension cords that have three-prong grounding
receptacles that accept the appliance’s plug. Replace or repair damaged cords.
Avoid Dangerous Environment – Do Not Use appliance in damp or wet locations.
Do Not Use in Rain. Use of rubber gloves and footwear is recommended when working
outdoors.
Keep Away from Children. All persons not operating the machine should be kept at a
safe distance from the work area.
To Avoid Risk of Injury, use only attachments supplied by MetroVac specifically for this
appliance.
Never Carry Appliance by Cord. Do not yank cord from the receptacle. Keep cord away
from heat, oil, and sharp edges.
Store Idle Appliances Indoors. When not in use, appliances should be stored indoors in
dry, high, or a locked up place out of reach of children.
