SECTION FIVE: USING THE OVEN

Setting Broil or Convection Broil for Electric Oven

To Set the Oven to Broil or Convection Broil

NOTE: Successful broiling requires constant
exposure to high, intense heat.

1. Place oven rack in desired position.

2. Set Selector Switch to BROIL.

3. Set Oven Control Knob to BROIL setting.

4. Wait until PRE HEATING light turns off, after approximately

three (3) minutes.

5. Place food in oven at desired rack position as referenced

on Page 26.

6. The door should be closed throughout the broil cycle.

Range comes with a large two-piece

broiler pan. The slotted grid allows drippings to flow into
the lower pan, away from the intense heat of the broil
burners, minimizing spattering and smoking.

BROIL - Electric Oven

Only the upper element heats in the BROIL mode.

Oven Heating Light

This light turns on when the oven heats and cycles
off when the set temperature has been reached. The
cycling continues as long as a BROIL mode is set.

Cooling Blower

The cooling blower turns on as soon as the broiler
turns on and remains on until the broiler is turned off
and the temperature inside the oven drops to 325

°

F.

Note: The interior oven light is always on while the
oven is in use. The oven light can also be turned
on while the oven is off by turning the oven
selector switch to the "LIGHT" position.
