Cleaning & Maintenance
Your nose and ear trimmer is
designed to give you years of com-
fortable use. To ensure that you
get optimal performance from your
trimmer, follow these simple cleaning
and lubrication tips:
Cleaning Your Trimmer
After each use, brush or blow accu-
mulated hair from the cutting unit.
Rinsing your trimmer
■
The NE-3, NE-4, NEDH-2000, and
NEDH-2500 can also be rinsed
with cool or warm water. Just hold
the unit’s head under the faucet —
it is not necessary to remove the
head first. Do not use hot water.
■
If the trimmer needs additional
cleaning, the cutting head can be
removed by turning it 1/4 inch to
the right and pulling it off. Then
blow out the accumulated hair
or rinse it more thoroughly under
running water.
■
Afterward, shake excess water
from the cutter head, making sure
that all parts are held together.
■
Replace the head in the same
position as it was removed, turning
it 1/4 inch counter clockwise until
it locks into place.
! The NE-1 cannot be rinsed.
Lubricating the cutters
■
After rinsing the unit, apply a drop
or two of mineral oil or baby oil to
the cutting teeth.
■
Don’t apply too much oil, or it may
spray.
■
Finally, point the trimmer down and
away from you, and turn it on. This
spreads the oil evenly and expels
any excess.
All Remington
®
Nose and Ear trimmers
run on one "AA" ALKALINE battery.
Inserting the Battery
1. To open
the battery
compartment,
turn the base
of the unit
approximately
1/4 inch counter
clockwise and
pull it off.
2. Insert the battery
into the unit,
positive end first.
3. Replace the base
and turn it 1/4
inch clockwise
to lock it in place.
Battery cautions
■
Use of non-alkaline batteries
will hurt the unit’s operating
performance.
■
Batteries should not be left in the
unit if the unit is not in use for
long periods.
■
To prevent battery corrosion,
the unit should be kept in a dry
environment.
How To Use
■
Dead batteries should be removed
immediately and disposed of
properly.
■
Do not use recharged batteries
with this appliance. The lower
voltage in recharged batteries
impairs the performance of the
cutting unit.
Changing the Heads on the
NEDH-2000 & NEDH-2500
The NEDH-2000 & NEDH-2500
comes with interchangeable heads.
You may want to use the rotary head
to trim nose hairs, and the linear
head for ear and eyebrow hairs.
To change heads:
1. Turn the trimmer off.
2. Detach cutting head by turning it
counter clockwise to the unlocked
position and pulling it off.
3. Once the previous head is removed,
attach the other head by placing
it on top of the unit and turning it
clockwise to the locked position.
