SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The Chocolatiere is an electrical appliance. As with all appliances there are some
basic safety instructions that need to be followed.
a) The Chocolatiere is for indoor use only.
b) Do not use the appliance if the plug or the cable is damaged. If the power cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized dealer or service agent.
c) Pull the plug out of the outlet to disconnect. Do not pull the cord.
d) Be careful that the cable does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
e) Do not touch the appliance or the plug with wet hands.
f) Always use the correct voltage as described in the “Technical Details”. Failure to
do so can lead to damage and result in injury to the user.
g) The appliance is designed solely for melting chocolate (of all kinds) at a
maximum temperature of 70˚C.
h) Avoid contact with any metal parts when the appliance is in use. They can get
too hot to handle or touch.
i) Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use.
j) Heat up chocolate only in the melting pot. Do not heat up chocolate directly in the
base unit.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
a) Place the appliance on an even surface and lower the melting pot into the
recess.
b) Plug the connector into an appropriate outlet.
c) To preheat and melt chocolate turn the control knob to Position “ll” (approx.
140˚F). Preheating will take approximately 10 minutes.
d) Finely chop the chocolate to shorten melting time.
e) Place the chocolate into the metal melting pot. Be careful, as the pot will be hot.
f) Stir occasionally with the supplied spatula.
g) After the chocolate is melted you can keep it warm (approx. 110˚F) by switching
control knob to Position “l”. This is also the correct position for fondues.
h) Pour the chocolate into the molds or use the supplied skewers and forks for
dipping your chosen ingredients directly into the melting pot.
i) When finished turn control knob to Position “0” to turn off the heat.
j) Unplug power supply cord from electrical outlet.
INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ
La Chocolatière est un appareil ménager électrique. Comme pour tous les appareils
ménagers, suivez les instructions de sécurité de base.
a) La Chocolatière est un appareil ménager pour l’intérieur seulement.
b) Ne pas l’utiliser si la prise ou le câble est endommagé. Si le cordon est
endommagé, il doit être remplacé par un distributeur ou agent de service
autorisé.
c) Sortir la fiche de la prise murale pour débrancher l’appareil. Ne pas tirer sur le
cordon.
d) Faire attention que le cordon ne touche aucune surface chaude.
e) Ne pas toucher l’appareil ou la fiche avec des mains mouillées.
f) Toujours utiliser la tension correcte figurant dans la « Description technique
détaillée », sous peine de provoquer des dommages ou des blessures.
g) Cet appareil ne peut être utilisé que pour faire fondre du chocolat (quelle qu’en
soit la sorte) à une température maximum de 70°C.
h) Ne pas toucher les parties métalliques de l’appareil pendant son
fonctionnement. Elles peuvent devenir brûlantes.
i) Débranchez l’appareil s’il n’est pas utilisé.
j) Chauffez le chocolat que dans le poêlon prévu à cet effet. Ne pas chauffer le
chocolat directement dans l’unité de base.
MODE D’EMPLOI
a) Placer l’appareil sur une surface plate, poêlon dans la cavité.
b) Brancher le connecteur à une prise murale.
c) Pour préchauffer et faire fondre le chocolat, tournez le commutateur sur la
position « ll » (environ 60 ºC). Le préchauffage dure environ 10 minutes.
d) Cassez le chocolat en petits morceaux pour raccourcir la durée du chauffage.
e) Placez le chocolat dans le poêlon en métal. Faire attention, car le poêlon risque
d’être chaud.
f) Remuez occasionnellement le chocolat avec la spatule fournie.
g) Une fois fondu, le chocolat peut être maintenu au chaud (à environ 43 ºC) en
réglant le commutateur sur la position « l ». C’est également le réglage à utiliser
pour les fondues.
h) Versez le chocolat dans les moules ou utilisez les brochettes et les fourchettes
fournies pour tremper les ingrédients choisis directement dans le poêlon à
fondue.
i) Après avoir terminé, remettre le commutateur sur la position « 0 » pour arrêter
le chauffage.
j) Débranchez l’appareil de la prise murale.
