Battery Information
• CAUTION: BATTERIES SHOULD BE REMOVED
AND REPLACED BY ADULTS ONLY.
• Your Pitfall! Handheld Game uses 2 AA batteries, not
included.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• To avoid explosion or leakage, do not dispose of batter-
ies in a fire or attempt to recharge standard or alkaline bat-
teries.
• Be sure to insert batteries with the correct polarities and
always follow the toy and battery manufacturers’ instruc-
tions.
• Remove batteries and store them in a cool, dry place
when not in use.
• Always remove old and dead batteries from the product.
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.

Each new game will have different combina-
tions of the treasures. There can be 15 to 20
money bags, 10 to 15 gold bars and 5 to 10 dia-
mond rings.
Auto Power Off
If no key is pressed for three minutes, the unit
will go into sleep mode. If you press
ON
/
START
within five minutes during the sleep mode, your
Pitfall! Handheld Game will return to the point
where it was before it was paused. If
ON
/
START
is not pressed during this five minute period,
the unit will automatically turn off in order to
spare your batteries. Press
ON
/
START
and your
Pitfall! Handheld Game will start a new game.
