For hartd held shots, holding the recorder
properly is the key.
• Hold the recorder firmly and secure it with
the grip strap so that it is easy to
maniputate the recorder with youi thumb.
• Breathe gently.
• Place your right elbow firmly against your
side.
• Stand opposite to the sub^t and plant your
feet iirmly in a comfortable position.
• Place your eye firmly against the viewfinder
eyecup.
• Try to keep both eyes open.
• Place your left hand under the camera
recorder to support it. When adiusting the
focus manually, make sure the unit does rrot
move.

If you have a tripod for your still camera, it
can also be used with the video carrtera
recorder. Use a sturdy or>e.
It a tripod is rK>t availabie, try placing the
camera on a tabletop, wall, or any other flat
surface of suitable height.

Even If camera work is smooth and stable,
shots can be lilted or off axis horizontally.
The horizontal plane can be easily determined

When shooting a scene when the light source
is in back of the subject, the subject will be
recorded too dark and the background too
light.
The followings are also backlight conditions;
« The subject is irxjoors and there is a
window behlr>d the subject.
• Bright sources such as fluorescent or
incarxlescent lamps are included In the
scene.
• A person wearing white or glossy clothes In
front of a white background. In this case,
the face will be recorded too dark.

circumstances where light is Insufficient, lights
must be used for best results.
