Your Flexi-Flag Pole kit contains 4 pcs. of tubing assemblies.
The tubes fit into each other starting from the largest (Tube 1 & 2) and working up to
the smallest tube. The tubes must be assembled on a flat horizontal surface.
Layout the tubes along the ground as shown above. Follow the instructions on the
epoxy kit provided and mix up about 1/4 of the tube ONLY. After you have mixed the
epoxy properly apply to the INSIDE of Tube 1. Insert the bottom of Tube 2 into the top
of Tube 1 as shown above, with a turning motion twist the upper section into the lower
until you butt each section together. This will evenly distribute the epoxy on the tube and
make a good bond. NEVER APPLY THE EPOXY TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE TUBE,
ONLY ON THE INSIDE.
Repeat the above procedure for the other two sections. Insert the tubes only to the
depth markers on each tube. The TOP section which contains the pulley must be aligned
with the PREDRILLED cleat holes in Tube 1. Epoxy the top pully to the top of the pole.
While the epoxy is drying, mount the base on your selected location using the provided
mounting hardware. Predrill the mounting lag holes with a 1/4" drill bit.
After you are sure the epoxy has cured (approx 20 min.) attach the line cleat to Tube 1
using the supplied screws. The stainless steel flag clips open much like a safety pin.
When open slide the clip around the 1/4" nylon rope forcing the rope in the small end.
Space the clips for the proper dimension as the flag grommets. Insert the flag grommets
into the clip and close. Open the base thumb screw, raise the flag and pole and insert
into the base. Tighten the thumb screw so the pole is secure in the base. DO NOT OVER
TIGHTEN AS THE BASE IS A CLOSE FIT TOLERANCE.
Always dispose of used flags in a dignified manner.
