Troubleshooting
If you experience any of the following dif ficulties while
using the player , use this tr oubleshooting guide to help
you r emedy the pr oblem. Should any pr oblem persist,
consult your near est Sony dealer .
There is no sound.
, Check that the player is connected secur ely .
, Make sur e you operate the amplifier cor rectly .
There is no sound from the DIGITAL OUT CD
connectors.
, The audio signals of the super audio CD cannot be
output fr om the DIGIT AL OUT CD connectors.
, Press DIGIT AL OUT to display “16 bit” in the
display when the player is playing the CD.
The disc does not play.
, Ther e is no disc inside the player .
, Ther e is no stabilizer on the disc.
, The disc is placed upside down on the tray
.
, Place the disc on the disc tray with the label side
up.
, The disc is placed at an angle. Reload the disc and
the stabilizer .
, Clean the disc (see page 21).
, Moistur e has condensed inside the player
. Remove
the disc and leave the player turned on for about
an hour (see page 20).
, Ther e is an incompatible disc on the tray (see page
7).
, Clean the turntable (see page 21).
The remote does not function.
, Remove any obstacles in the path of the r emote
and the player .
, Point the r emote at the r emote sensor on the
