INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

"DLV TRIM"

FINISH TRIM INSTALLATION

Part No. CJ520343

Upon receipt, thoroughly inspect for any freight
damage which should be brought to the attention
of the delivery carrier. Compare the catalog
description listed on the packing slip with the
label on the carton to ensure you have received
the correct merchandise.

1.

Electric current can cause painful shock or

serious injury unless handled properly. For your

safety, always remember the following:

- Turn off the power supply.

- Ground the fixture to avoid potential electrical

shocks.

- Do not handle an energized fixture with wet

hands, when standing on a wet or damp surface,

or in water.

- Double check all electrical connections to be sure

they are tight and correct

Specific safety information concerning lamps:

- Match wattage of fixture and lamp exactly.

- Do not remove or insert lamp when power is on.

- Do not scratch glass or subject lamp to undue

pressure as either may cause lamp breakage.

Protect operating lamp from sources of moisture.

NEW INSTALLATION

DLV DWN 4 TRIM INSTALLATION

1.

Install lamp (A) into lamp holder (B) with safety glass (C)
installed in front of lamp (when provided). Refer to Figure 1.

Install assembly on top of trim utilizing three springs to
secure. Refer to Figure 2.

2.

Connect socket from fixture housing to the lamp/lamp holder
assembly completed in Step #1. Refer to Figure 3.

3.

Install the cone by squeezing the butterfly springs and
engaging them into the slots provided in the housing. When

both springs are engaged, gently push the assembly up and
the springs will secure. Refer to Figure 4.

4.

Clean fingerprints from assembly and test. Installation is
complete.

DLV ADJ 4 TRIM INSTALLATION AND ADJUSTMENT
1. Feed socket in housing through round hole in adjusting

mechanism above the ceiling aperture opening.
Refer to Figure 5.

2. Install lamp (A) into lamp holder (B) with safety glass (C)

installed in front of lamp (when provided). Refer to Figure 1.
Install assembly through the housing aperture into the three

springs provided on the adjusting mechanism.
Refer to Figure 5.

3. Rotate and adjust to desired angle (up to 45° elevation and

360° rotation) and lock using thumb screws. Rotation lock
(D); elevation lock (E). Refer to Figure 6.

4. Install the cone by squeezing the butterfly springs and

engaging them into the slots provided in the housing. When

both springs are engaged, gently push the assembly up and
the springs will secure. Refer to Figure 4.

5. Clean fingerprints from assembly and test installation is

complete.

DLV WSH and 1″-3″ ADJ/DWN TRIM INSTALLATION

1. Install lamp (A) into lamp holder (B) with safety glass (C)

installed into front of lamp (when provided).
Refer to Figure 1.

2. Install lamp holder into bracket on trim. Lock with thumb

screw (F). Refer to Figure 7. Adjust to angle desired (on ADJ

trims only) and lock with thumb screw (G). Refer to Figure 8.

3. To adjust rotation for WSH and ADJ trims, adjust rotation and

lock with thumb screw (D). Refer to Figure 6. For WSH trims,

rotate trim to proper orientation with wall. Refer to Figure 9.
Connect socket from fixture housing to the lamp/ trim

assembly.

4. Install the cone by squeezing the butterfly springs and

engaging them into the slots provided in the housing. When

both springs are engaged, gently push the assembly up and
the springs will secure. Refer to Figure 4.

5. Clean fingerprints from assembly and test. Installation is

complete.

TROUBLE SHOOTING CHART
Check first for any visible damage to the lamp or frame-in module. If they seem in good condition, locate the problem

in the following list for possible cause and corrective action.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

CORRECTIVE ACTION

LAMP FAILS TO LIGHT
• Circuit feeding the fixture not energized

• Wiring error in circuit or module connection
• Faulty lamp


• Check circuit breaker or fuse to insure that circuit is energized.

• Examine fixture splice box to see that connections are proper.
• Remove the faulty lamp and substitute another lamp, preferably

one that s known to light I f the lamp, replace the original with a
new one.

LAMP GOES OUT AFTER LIGHTING

Faulty lamp


• Occasionally a lamp will exhibit this symptom rather than simply

failing to light. Substitute a new lamp.

LAMP CYCLES ON AND OFF

Insulation is too close to fixture

• Lamp wattage too high

Remove insulation from around module (at least 3″).

• Install lamp wattage specified in housing.
