Spectra Series™ Power Panelboards

Circuit Breakers and Modules

General

These instructions apply to the following catalog numbers:

• Circuit breaker modules AMC6FDB, AMC4FDB,

AMC6FDBS, and AMC4FDBS

• Circuit breaker frames FCV, FCS, FCN, FCH, and

FCL.

Modules AMC6FDB and AMC4FDB are used for standard

breaker installations requiring a 3X space. Modules

AMC6FDBS and AMC4FDBS are used when mounting

beside an ADS switch, which requires a 4X space.
The parts contained in these kits are listed in Table 1.

Numbers in brackets in the text and figures refer to the

item numbers in this table.

Installation

1. Phase balancing for two-pole devices in three-phase

systems. To balance the panelboard load, remove the

screws on either of the bus clips, reposition the bus

clip to the bus clip mounting block, as shown in

Figure 1, then install and tighten the screws to 27–32

in-lb.

2. Prepare the breaker module. If two breakers are to be

mounted on the module, remove the protective cap

from the mounting posts, as shown in Figure 2.

Fasten the filler supports (supplied in the filler plate

kit), as shown in Figure 3, with #10-32 x
