Getting started
1. Install the PC software from the CD* before connecting your player.
2. Connect your player to your computer.
• The player charges automatically every time you connect it to your computer.
It should charge for at least 3 hours before using for the first time.

3. Downloading audio files to your player using any of the two methods below
• Windows Explorer: drag-and-drop
audio files to the Media folder
(Windows XP) of the player.
• Yahoo! Music TM Jukebox (installed
from the CD): drag-and-drop audio
files from your My Music library to
the player.
General controls

Lock the keys
Unlock the keys
Slide towards until the player turns on
Slide towards until the player turns off
Slide towards
Slide to the middle position
Touch or to go to previous or next
section of the navigation menu and touch
or to scroll up or down to the desired
file
Touch
Touch , touch again to resume
Moving your finger along the keypad as
seen in the circular arrow will increase or
decrease the volume

Touch within the beginning 4 seconds of
the current file(except picture file)
Touch and hold or during playback
Touch m once. Touching twice is only
needed if you are in playback screen
Browse for an audio/picture/video file
Play an audio/picture/video file
Pause the playback
Adjust the volume
Skip to the next audio/picture/video file
Skip to the previous audio/picture/video
file
Rewind or fast forward an audio/video
file
Access the player menu (for radio, voice,
line-in recording functions and the
player’s setting menu)
or
Listen to the radio
Select radio frequency
Start voice recording
Reset the player
Touch m to access the player menu, select
“Go to” and then “Radio”
In the radio mode, touch or to
select frequency
Touch m to access the player menu, select
“Go to” and then “Voice Recording”.
Touch and hold to start and stop
recording.
Press the RESET button on the back of the
player with a non-metal pointed object
(e.g. toothpick) if the player locks up.
