SYSTEM DEVICE MANAGEMENT

You can manage such information as stored provider and content directory.

To setup, follow steps 1 to 2 in "TCP/IP Setting" on page 47.

Press the

▲▼ buttons to select System Setup, then

press the ENTER or

► button.

Press the

▲▼ buttons to select Persistent Storage

Management, then press the ENTER or

► button.

Press the

▲▼ buttons to move sub-directory, then press

the ENTER or

► button.

- To delete a directory -

Use the

▲▼ button to select a fi le to delete and press the

BLUE(D) button. (You cannot delete devices.)

Description of Device Information

Category : Indicates if this device is a built-in or a
hot-plug device.

- Required : Built-in device

Slot Status : Indicates the current slot type of the
device.

- Non Slot : Device that does not support hot-plug.

Device Name : Name of the device
Total Size : Total size of the device

Available Size : Available size of the device
Average Read Rate : Data read rate from the device
(based on the device spec)

In most cases, the Provider directory contains related fi les to each movie maker and the Contents directory stores
related fi les to each title.
(These directories contain bookmark information fi les created in playback of a movie or downloaded fi les through the
network)

All of the fi les in the directories are not visible to users.

If you delete the directory, all the fi les in that directory will be deleted accordingly.

Press the RED (A) button in the Provider directory to move up to the parent directory, ‘Device’.

Press the GREEN (B) button in the Contents directory to move up to the parent directory, ‘Provider’.

To the right of the directory/content list, normally there appears information on the current device (name, space
used, data transfer rate).

The movie maker can display an image instead of the directory name intentionally or for its own reason.
