Install Set Up
1. If the time screen is completely blank it will need to be plugged into an outlet and charged for four

hours before programming can begin. If the screen is displaying numbers, it can be programmed
and plugged into the wall afterwards.

2. Before programming, all settings should be reset. The reset button is located just below the “RCL/

DST” button and is identified by “RST”. Use a toothpick or ball point pen to push the “RST” button.

NOTE – Timer will automatically exit the setting mode and return to normal clock mode if no buttons
are pressed for 20 seconds. Any settings made previously will be saved.

Current Time Setting
1. Press and hold “OK” for two seconds to set current time.
2. Press the + or – buttons to set the hour, taking note of the AM or PM in the top left corner of the

screen. Press OK to confirm.

3. Press the + or – buttons to set the minutes. Press “OK” to confirm.
4. Press “MENU” to exit the current time setting.

Programming the On/Off Times
1. In clock mode, press “MENU” to program on/off times
2. 1 ON --:-- should be the first setting. There are a total of 2 On/Off settings.
3. Press “OK” to program 1 ON.
4. Press the + or – buttons to set the hour. Press “OK” to confirm.
5. Press the + or – buttons to set the minutes. Press “OK” to confirm.
6. Press the + button to move to 1 OFF programming.
7. Repeat steps 3 through 5 to program the other On/Off setting.
8. Press “MENU” to complete the current On/Off program setting.

RCL (Clear Buttons) Setting
1. Press the “OK” button to select the On/Off setting that needs to be changed
2. Press the “RCL/DST” button to reset the current On/Off setting.

Switch Mode Indication
The actual mode is shown in the display as “ON”, “AUTO ON”, “OFF”, or “AUTO OFF” together with the
time of day. In normal clock mode, use the + button to adjust this to the desired setting. This can be
used to override the timer as explained in

Diagram C.

ON = Always ON
OFF = Always OFF;
AUTO ON = Timer is activated and lamp/device is on.

The timer will follow the next off program.

AUTO OFF = Timer is activated and lamp/device is off.

The timer will follow the next on program.

Summer Time Feature (DST)
Note: DST stands for Daylight Savings Time. DST is either “ON” or “OFF”.
1. Push the “RCL/DST” button to advance the current time 1 hour to reflect Daylight Savings Time. The

“+1h” icon will appear in the lower left corner of the display.

2. Pushing the “RCL/DST” button will decrease the time by 1 hour and the “+1h” icon

will disappear.

Power Back-Up
In the event of a power failure, the timer will retain its settings.

Problem
Light or appliance does not turn ON.

Light turns ON/OFF at day instead of night.

Timer is resetting time or program.

Solution
Make sure light/appliance power switch is in ON position. Make sure timer
is in AUTO mode. If timer is in OFF mode the program is not running.

Check to make sure AM/PM time and program settings are correct.

Timer is being used on a motor or transformer load.
It is not recommended for this use.
