RECORDING ENREGISTREMENT
Recording from the beginning of a tape

1 Load a DAT tape cassette.
Be careful of the erase protection door. (See page 29)
2 Set the TIMER switch to the OFF position.
3 Select the type of input (COAX or ANALOG) with the
INPUT selector button.
• The COAX indicator lights when set for digital input, goes out
when set for analog input.
4 Select the recording mode 32k(LP), 48k or 44.1k
with REC MODE switch.
According to the input signal and sampling frequency, recording
can be performed as follows.

5 Press '<4. Rewind the tape to the beginning.

Press • while holding down O. Create a blank
section of appoximately 8 seconds (standard mode)
on the tape.
The deck re-enters record- standby mode.
If more than about 5 minutes elapse with the deck left in
record-standby mode, the tape transport mechanism auto­
matically enters stop mode to protect the tape (a monitor
sound is output). Also, only the recording indicator is lit. To
return to record-standby mode, press •.
Be sure to perform steps 5 and 6 above for A-TIME recording.

NOTE:
If an unnecessary Start-ID is left at the beginning of the tape, erase
it using the procedure on page 37 before starting recording.
If you selected ANALOG, go to page 30.
If you selected DIGITAL (COAX), go to page 32.
Recordings made by you cannot be used for any purpose
other than personal use without permission from the copy­
right holder.
1 Charger une cassette DAT.
Attention à la porte de protection contre l'effacement. (Voir page 29).
2 Régler le commutateur TIMER sur la position OFF.
3 Sélectionner le type d'entrée (COAX, ОРТ ou
ANALOG) avec le sélecteur d'entrée (INPUT).
• L'indicateur COAX s'allume lors du réglage d'une entrée
numérique, s'éteint pour une entrée analogique.
4 Choisir le mode d'enregistrement 32k (LP), 48k ou
44.1k au moyen du sélecteur REC MODE.
En fonction du signal d'entrée et de la fréquence d'échantillonnage,
les possibilités d'enregistrement sont les suivantes;

5 Presser -<4. Rebobine la bande jusqu'au début.
6 Appuyer sur la touche • tout en tenant la touche O
enfoncée. Crée une section vierge d'environ 8
secondes (le mode standard) sur la bande.
La platine revient en mode d'attente d'enregistrement.
Si la platine reste en mode d'attente d'enregistrement
pendant plus de 5 minutes, le mécanisme de transport de
bande revient automatique en mode d'arrêt pour protéger
la bande (l'appareil produit un son avertisseur). Seul
l'indicateur enregistrement est allumé. Pour revenir au
mode d'attente d'enregistrement, appuyer sur •.
Bien effectuer les étapes 5 et 6 ci-dessus pour
l'enregistrement A-TIME (initialisation de la bande).
REMARQUE:
S'il y a un code ID de début inutile au début de la bande, l'effacer d'après
la procédure indiquée page 37 avant de commencer l'enregistrement
Si vous sélectionnez ANALOG, passer à la page 30.
Si vous sélectionnez DIGITAL (COAX), passer à la page
32.
Les enregistrements que vous faites ne peuvent pas être
utilisés à des fins autres que personnelles sans autorisation
du détenteur des droits d'auteur.
