Installation
■Connecting Procedures
Turn off your computer. Connect the signal connectors as shown below.
Turn the monitor on, then turn ori the computer.
A. IBM PS/2 or PC/AT compatible models
S.Connect the standard connector
to the video input connector on
the rear side of the display panel

Use the accessory signal cable.
Connect the signal cable as
shown in the figure.
2.Pull out the signal
cable to the hook
on the rear side
of the display
panel.
1 .Connect the standard
connector to the video
output connector of the
computer.
B. Apple computers
* When using the Apple Macintosh, use the "On The Fly" mode with separate sync only. The
LC40 monitor cannot be used in the "Composite" or "Sync on Green" modes used by older
Macintosh models. Please refer to the operation manuals of your computer and video cards
for further details to determine compatibility.
Use a commercial MAC adapter (not included).
Panasonic MAC adapter part No. is UNIMAC-82D If you need an adapter and one is not
provided by your dealer, call 1-800 PANASYS (1-800-726-2797).
4.Connect the signal connector to the
video input connector on the rear side
of the display panel.
1 .Connect the signal connector to the
computer video output connector.

2.Connect the Macintosh adapter between
the standard connector and the computer.
I—Caution:
To prevent the cable from
coming loose, the cable
connectors must be securely
fastened with screws.
