Thank you very much for purchasing the AG-DS850.
This is a video cassette recorder for editing applications which was developed
for applications in industry, educational establishments, studios and CATV
transmissions.

High picture quality
A wel[-contrasted and high-definition picture is obtained through the use of the following functions.
■ S-VHS system adopted to yield clear pictures with high resolution
■ Digital S-VHS circuitry for greatly reduces smear and ringing when copying tapes
■ Time base corrector (TBC) to ensure that pictures have minimal jitter
■ Digital noise reducers (DNR) for a high signal-to-noise ratio which is a generation ahead of that featured by ordinary
pictures
■ Digital technology to ensure a noiseless picture during slow playback
■ 3-dimensional Y/C separation
Highly dependable mechanisms
A full array of such highly reliable mechanisms as the Al servo-driven large-diameter capstan, dual reel motor drive
system and DD cylinder combine to yield high-grade editing.
The cleaning mechanism also alleviates the problem of video head clogging.
Full range of options for system expansion
Full justice can be given to the functions of this editor and highly accurate automatic editing operations can be performed
by connecting the AG-A800 (RS-422A, 9-pin system), AG-A770 or AG-A750 {34-pin system) editing controller.
An editing system can also be configured using the AG-A650, NV-A500 or NV-A505 editing controller.
