For your reference:
•The VSS indicator lights up when the Dolby Digital DVD is

played back with the virtual surround sound effect.

•For optimum effect, it is recommended that the distance be­

tween the TV set and the iistening position be about 3 or
4 times the distance between the right and left front
speakers.

Some DVDs have unique menus. For example, these menus

can be for language selection, audio output selection and/or
subtitle language selection, etc. Although the DVD menu’s
contents and operation differ from disc to disc, the following
explains basic operation when this feature is used.

Press MENU during play.

The DVD menu available on the
disc is now displayed.
