Enjoying Karaoke using non-Karaoke

Press GUIDE MELODY during play.

The On-Screen Menu Icons for Karaoke are displayed.

• Each time this button is pressed, the item changes as

follows.

1:

Guide melody is ON {Normal volume).

2:

Guide melody is ON {Louder volume).

OFF: Guide melody is OFF.

•When “1" or “2" is selected, the guide melody recorded in the

DVD Karaoke discs, a tune of the song, is played back so as

to make it easier to sing an unfamiliar song.

•When “OFF” is selected, the guide melody is turned off and

you can sing to the accompaniment alone like a professional
singer.

•Some DVD Karaoke discs do not include a guide melody.

Turning off the master vocal
while you are singing

[Voice Change]

Press VOICE during play.

The On-Screen Menu Icons for Karaoke are displayed.

• Each time this button is pressed, "ON” and “OFF” switch.
•When “ON” is selected, the master vocal will be turned off

while you are singing. When you stop singing, the volume will
be increased automatically, but when you start singing again,

the master vocal will be turned off again. This function is con­
venient when practicing a new tune.

Karaoke request play

Press REQUEST during play or in the stop

mode.

The Karaoke request screen is displayed.

•When REQUEST is pressed during play, the title/track

being played is programmed.

Press the numeric buttons (direct seiect

buttons) to enter the desired song(s).

• Select the title number for DVDs or the track number for

Video CDs/CDs. {Refer to the jacket of the disc con­
cerned for the title/track numbers.)

• Up to 8 titles/tracks can be programmed.

•To select a 2-digit number, use the ^10 button.

For example, press “^10", “1” and then “5” to select

“15”.

If REQUEST is pressed in the stop mode

Press PLAY.

Play of the selection now begins.

To clear the Karaoke request screen

Press REQUEST.

To clear the program

Press the cursor buttons (◄, ►) to select the program to be

cleared and press CANCEL.

To return to normal play

Press CANCEL to clear all the programs while the Karaoke
request screen is displayed.

Notes:
•Karaoke request play does not work while the menu screen

is displayed.

•When any title/track is programmed, the TITLE or MENU

does not work.
