UPHOLSTER CORE AND COMPONENTS
1. For seats specified WITHOUT Cargo Panel:

• Apply spray adhesive to inside of blank back panel, then press

into cavity in back of seat. Upholster over this back panel.

2. Attach foam and upholster these separate components:

• Seat Core
• Seat Bolster
• SAS Seat Pan
• Arms (Left & Right) or Headrest

3. Sew the Warning Label onto front of Seat Pan after it has been

upholstered. The Label will not be visible when Bolster is down.
(Figure 1)

NOTE: While the Bolster does qualify as a Type A Seat under
ABYC Standard H-31, Attwood strongly suggests that you install
the Warning Label that warns against use over 5 mph. The Label
also warns against potential pinch points and dangerous use.

ASSEMBLE COMPONENTS

Attach Optional Arms (Left & Right)
1. Find 4 locator holes in the Seat Core, beneath the upholstery:

(Figure 2)
• 2 vertical, one at each side
• 2 horizontal, one at each side

2. Staple upholstery to hold it to the core around the holes.
3. Carefully cut a slit in the upholstery to match size of each hole.
4. Hold Left Arm with hook at top. Insert hook into vertical hole, then

roll down so post fits into horizontal hole.

5. Working from interior of the seat, find the screw dimple above the

Bolster opening in the core.

6. Insert a plastic thread forming screw (2"-long x 1/4" dia.)

horizontally through the screw dimple and drive it into post
at the base of the Left Arm.
CAUTION: To avoid stripping the thread, DO NOT exceed
40 in./lbs of torque.

7. Repeat procedure with opposite Arm.

Attach Optional Headrest
