This Attwood base assembly accepts Attwood three mile forward
white running lights and three mile all-round anchor lights for boats
up to 65.6' (20 m) long.

Base is constructed of high-strength plastic that is UV protected
and corrosion resistant. A lock secures light in place (Attwood
head and pole assembly #911450) and a cover protects socket
when light is stowed.

Mount to any flush surface, or use the “V” block for mounting to
the center extrusion of an angled windshield. Connect to 12-volt
D.C. power only.

CAUTION:
To prevent personal injury, always disconnect the power source
when installing or servicing any electrical product. Remove vessel
from water when using any 110/120 VAC power tools.

REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION:

Drill and suitable drill bits for mounting location

3/8" drill bit for wire routing hole

Screwdriver

Two #10 stainless steel flat head screws

Marine-grade caulking/sealer

Three-position switch

Fuse holder and 5 amp fuse

18-gauge wire

Marine-grade wire connector for 18-gauge wire

Electrical tape

Mounting Location: Determine the proper mounting location by
following the standards of navigational lighting. This base assembly
will accept all Attwood 7300 series masthead lights. Position base
on the fore and aft center line of vessel, preferably on a forward-
facing surface, that allows a 360

°

arc of unobstructed light

visibility. See Figure 1

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1.

Place “V” adapter against the surface with wire routing hole
down. Mark the mounting holes and wire routing hole locations.
See Figure 2

2.

Drill pilot holes for #10 screws at mounting hole locations, and
drill 3/8" (9.52 mm) wire routing hole. Clean any rough edges.

3.

If mounting to angled center windshield extrusion:
Hold “V” block with angled surface down and route wires through
it, into the wire routing hole. Apply marine caulk to outside edges
and press into place.

If mounting to flat surface:
Discard “V” block and route wires directly into wire routing
hole. Apply marine caulk to outside bottom edges of base
assembly and press into place.

4.

Install and tighten two #10 stainless steel screws. Do not
over tighten.

5.

Using a three-position switch (consult wire diagram of boat for
specific reference of the switch terminal functions):

a.

Splice fuse holder and 5 amp fuse into a length of
18-gauge wire, and connect to switch and positive
battery terminal.

b.

Connect the grey wire (anchor light) and grey/stripe
wire (navigational light).

c.

Connect the sidelight wire(s).

d.

Connect the black wire to negative ground.

If connecting to all-round lights, cut off black wire and connect
grey wire to positive and grey/stripe wire to negative.

6.

Align tab on pole with slot in base assembly and push until
fully seated. Turn knob to lock in place. See Figure 2

7.

Engage switch and check for proper operation. Finish
electrical connections with marine grade wire connectors and
tape securely.
