Importing audio files into the
HDD

— Import

You can import audio files from an “MG
Memory Stick” into the HDD.

Press

(SOURCE)

repeatedly to select

“MEMORY STICK.”

Press

(MENU)

.

The menu display appears.

Rotate the R dial to select “Check In,”
then press the R dial.

Rotate the R dial to select “Import,”
then press the R dial.

Rotate the R dial to select the track
you want to import.

The selected item is marked with “

.”

In the default setting, all tracks are selected in
the track name list.
To select specific tracks, press (F2) (ALL) to
cancel the selection first.
To cancel the item being selected, press the R
dial again.

Repeat step 5 to select all tracks you
want to import.

Press

(F1)

(START).

Import starts.
The normal playback display appears when
import is completed.

To cancel Import

Press (F3) (CANCEL).

Notes
Check-Out is the only possible measure to transfer

an imported track to a “Memory Stick” or a Network
Walkman.

Only the tracks that can be imported are displayed in

the list.

Storing data onto the HDD

— Backup

You can temporarily store any digital camera
data in a “Memory Stick” or voice data in an IC
recorder together to the HDD.

Display the source list (page 16).

Rotate the R dial to select “Memory
Stick,” then press the R dial.

Rotate the R dial to select a folder/file
to be backed up, then press

(MENU)

.

Rotate the R dial to select “Backup,”
then press the R dial.

Backup starts.
The list display appears when backup is
completed. Backed up data is stored in the
DATA folder.

Press

(F3)

).

The normal display appears.

To cancel Backup

Press (F3) (CANCEL).

Notes
Backed up data cannot be played back on this unit.
Folders such as HIFI folders and CONTROL folders

in the “MG Memory Stick” cannot be backed up.
