If you cannot see the Removable Disk (S:) under My Computer on your desktop:
1 Click Start, point to Settings and then Control Panel.
2 Click System. The System Properties window appears.
3 Select the the Device Manager tab.
To Remove a Memory Stick Media
Make sure the access light is off. Push the media in toward the computer. When
the media ejects, pull it out. When removing the Memory Stick media, be
careful as it may eject completely from the slot.
Notes on using Memory Stick media:
❑ When the media's erasure prevention switch is set to LOCK, data cannot be
recorded or erased.
❑ Before using Memory Stick media, you should back up important data.
❑ Wait a minimum of 10 seconds after the media finishes reading or writing
data before removing it. If the media is removed prematurely, a blue screen
with an error message appears, prompting you to continue or exit. Re-insert
the media into the slot and press Enter to continue. This allows the media to
finish reading or writing data.
❑ You can enjoy video clips that you have recorded with Memory Stick-
compatible video camera recorders.
❑ The media slot can accommodate one media at a time.
❑ To copy images from a digital video camera via Memory Stick media, see

❑ To copy images from a digital still camera via the Memory Stick media, see

If you cannot find System, open the Control Panel window and select Display Control
Panel options.
Warning: When copying data between Memory Stick media with different memory
capacity, use the drag and drop method to copy data. Do not use the Copy Disk function
of Windows. The Copy Disk function will result in the loss of the installed memory.
