Battery charger setting

Turn the ignition key (61) to “0”, then open the hood (7) and turn the selector (39) to WET for lead batteries or to GEL fro gel
batteries.
Charge the batteries (see the procedure in Maintenance chapter).

BEFORE STARTING THE MACHINE

CAUTION!
Make sure that the debris container (17) is properly closed before starting the machine.

STARTING AND STOPPING THE MACHINE

Starting the machine

Adjust the handlebar (3) with the knobs (5) in order to reach a comfortable position.
Lower the side broom (10), then disengage the fastener (2) and lower the knob (12) (without turning it).

NOTE
The side broom (10) can be lifted and lowered even if it is turned on.

Insert the ignition key (61) on the control panel and turn it to “I” without pulling the lever (4).
Check that the green warning light (64) turns on. If the yellow (62) or red warning light (63) turns on, turn the ignition key to "0"
and charge the batteries (see the procedure in Maintenance chapter).
Pull the drive lever (4) with care until the machine starts to move. The speed is proportional to the pressure applied to the drive
lever (4).

Stopping the machine

To stop the machine, release the drive lever (4) completely.
To turn off the brushes, turn the ignition key (61) to “0”.
To lift the side broom (10) lift the knob (12) (without turning it), and then engage the fastener (2).

MACHINE OPERATION

Avoid stopping for a long time with the machine in the same position and the brooms turning: this could create unwanted
marks on the fl oor.
To collect light and bulky waste materials, lift the front skirt by pulling the lever (27); take into consideration that the machine
vacuum capability is reduced when the front skirt is lifted.
For machine proper operation, the dust fi lter must be as clean as possible. To clean the fi lter while sweeping, turn on the fi lter
shaker by proceeding as follows and according to the type of fi lter shaker installed:

Manual fi lter shaker: Turn the ignition key to "0". Pull the handle (20) outward to the end of stroke, then suddenly release
it; the inner return spring thus strikes the dust fi lter frame and shakes it. Repeat this procedure several times. To start
sweeping again, turn the ignition key to “I”.
Electrical fi lter shaker (optional): Press the fi lter shaker switch (67) for a few seconds. During this procedure the main
motor and all functions are automatically cut-off.

NOTE
Repeat the fi lter shaking procedure at least every 10 minutes. This interval can change depending on the dustiness of
the area to be cleaned.

NOTE
When the dust fi lter is clogged and/or the debris container is full, the machine cannot collect dust and debris anymore.

CAUTION!
Do not work on wet fl oors to prevent the dust fi lter from being damaged.

The debris container (17) should be emptied after each working cycle and whenever it is full.
