Setup menu operations

All the setup items except the ones which are set by
the selector switches are set on the on-screen menus.

Press the SET UP ([SHIFT] + [7]) button to transfer
operation to the setup menu mode.
The menu screen is displayed on the liquid crystal
monitor and video monitor output.
<Note>
Even if ON has been selected as the setup menu
item No.30 (MENU LOCK) setting, the menu
screen appears and the settings can be checked
but they cannot be changed.

While holding down the SHIFT button, turn the dial
and change the value. The value can be
decremented by pressing the “–” button while
holding down the SHIFT button and, conversely,
incremented by pressing the “+” button while
holding down the SHIFT button.
<Note>
To change the settings of setup menu item No.377
(1ST EDIT TC), No.378 (1ST EDIT UB), No.573
(TC PRESET) or No.574 (UB PRESET), press the
T SET ([SHIFT] + [3]) button, and use the numeric
input buttons to input the value.
The TC PRESET and UB PRESET values are set
when the TC generator switch is set to “F-RUN” or
“R-RUN”.
Follow the steps below to input characters for
setup menu item No.379 (1ST-E TITLE).
1 Press the STILL button to display the character

input screen.

2 Press the SHIFT button.

The cursor now flashes at the position where the
characters can be input.

3 While holding the SHIFT button down, select a

character by pressing the “+” or “–” button.

4 While holding the SHIFT button down, move the

character input position by pressing the “FF” or
“REW” button.

5 Repeat steps 3 and 4 to input more

characters.

6 Upon completion of the character input, release

the SHIFT button, and press the STILL button to
exit the character input screen.

When the RETURN ([SHIFT] + [ENTER]) button is
pressed, the setting is entered, and the normal
mode is restored.

When the EXIT ([SHIFT] + [C]) button is pressed,
the setting is canceled, and the normal mode is
restored.

To perform settings on the menu displayed on the
VTR1 side, press the VTR1 button and check that
this button’s LED is lighted and that the VTR2
button’s LED is off.
To perform settings on the menu displayed on the
VTR2 side, press the VTR2 button and check that
this button’s LED is lighted and that the VTR1
button’s LED is off.

Push in the search dial to set the jog mode.
Turn the dial and select the item to be set. (The
“¢” cursor now moves.)
<Note>
Press the FF or REW button to scroll the menu
items to the next or previous page.
