Problem

Some parts of the
soundtrack are missing.

The LCD is dark.

The picture is disrupted during
fast forward and rewind.

No picture on the LCD
(including video from
another unit).

Picture doesn’t appear on
the television (or the size
of the picture seems
wrong).

LCD pixels turn black or
radiate different colors.

Solution

Output from this unit is in stereo (2 channels) when
V.S.S. is on. Turn V.S.S. off when you have used analog
connection and connected 3 or more speakers.

Ensure the settings are appropriate to the speakers you
have connected.

Some DVD-Audio specify the number of channels to be
played and prohibit down-mixing to 2 channels. If this is
the case, you will hear only part of the soundtrack when
played through this unit’s speakers. “Multi-channel”
flashes on the LCD when you start playing such tracks.

Adjust the brightness.

Some disruption is normal.

Check connections.

Ensure the input setting is correct.

Select a picture mode other than “OFF” (no picture).

Ensure the power of the connected equipment is on.

Make sure the LCD off switch is not being held down.

Check the settings in “Video—TV Aspect”.

The LCD is constructed with precision technology so
99.99 % of the pixels are active, but of the remaining of
0.01 %, there are pixels that may be black or emit light
constantly. This phenomenon is not a malfunction.

The unit has malfunctioned. Consult your dealer.

The unit is on and the LCD is closed or the display mode
is set to “OFF” (no picture). Turn the unit off when you
have finished.

There is a problem with the built-in battery or battery
pack. Turn the unit on and check the message on the
LCD.

Battery charge is low. The unit will turn off automatically
after a few minutes.
